We are looking for an excellent wordsmith, with a working knowledge of design, decor and architectural trends and a passion for arts, culture and lifestyle, to join our team. You will work on a range of writing deliverables, including creating articles, press releases, newsletters, social media posts and company announcements. This is a full-time role as part of a team that keeps regular office hours and thus will not suit a freelancer who has other projects on the go. It is a dedicated writing position and is best suited to someone who is a copywriting specialist. 

The job will cover a combination of the following:

• Preparing for and attending client meetings and internal status meetings.
• Constantly seeking fresh communication ideas and angles and producing quality copy to the highest professional standard.
• Researching and writing articles and press releases according to best practice and using the correct agency format.
• Preparing weekly updates on all writing activities undertaken.
• Conceptualising copy for social and digital media campaigns and monthly social media calendars and sourcing appropriate visuals.
• Ensuring that deliverables agreed to with clients are addressed and achieved.
• Generally acting in a manner and with an attitude befitting the culture and status of the company.
• Developing and maintaining a working relationship with all members of the team.

Required:

• Qualification in journalism, media, communications, copywriting or relevant degree
• At least one year of relevant experience within a media house or public relations agency
• Familiarity with Google Drive and Google Apps for business
• Computer literacy in all Microsoft applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Own transport (and valid driver's licence) required
• Own laptop or computer
• Working experience in writing for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (TikTok is an advantage not a necessity)
• Working experience in supplying copy for digital advertising campaigns
