      The Bible Society of South Africa NPC (BSSA) has been translating, publishing and distributing Bibles in South Africa since 1820. The Bible Society of South Africa’s mission is to provide affordable Bibles for everyone, in their own language and in suitable formats, so that all may experience the life-giving message of the Word.

      This is the ideal position for a dynamic person to take responsibility for the BSSA’s digital marketing channels and initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for the planning, development, execution and evaluation of digital campaigns as well as managing specific marketing initiatives across the various channels and platforms to increase awareness of the BSSA.

      Key performance areas:
      • Responsible for all digital channels and initiatives, including: 1) Website, e-commerce and Bible engagement platform; 2) Social media channels; and 3) Search engine marketing and e-mail marketing campaigns
      • Developing content and content strategies that engage our audiences and promote the image of the BSSA
      • Conducting ongoing market analysis
      • Developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns directed at building the BSSA’s digital communities, increasing brand awareness and resulting in increased sales and financial support
      • Running targeted marketing initiatives to promote products and programmes (with effective segmentation to increase effectiveness)
      • Accurate reporting
      Requirements:
      • Diploma or similar qualification in digital marketing
      • Three or more years of experience in a digital marketing role
      • Proven experience with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and related tools
      • Proficiency in WordPress, Mailchimp, Campaign Studio, Payfast/PayGate
      • Proficiency in all major social media platforms
      • Proven experience with Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics
      • Experience with Google Grants is recommended
      • Familiar with leveraging AI tools
      Skills:
      • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
      • Technical, data analytical and numerical skills
      • In-depth knowledge of current digital marketing technologies and techniques
      • Ability to create engaging content across various digital platforms
      • Presentation and research skills
      • Report writing skills
      • Exceptional planning and organising skills
      • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
      • Good interpersonal and communication skills
