Risk And Analytics Manager

Key responsibilities

• Enhance company performance through data-driven credit risk strategies.
• Provide information, analysis, and reports to support business decisions.
• Monitor risk models and report findings to the board.
• Assist in growing and mentoring the team through relevant training programmes.
• Ensure high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all reporting.

Minimum requirements

• At least six years of experience in consumer credit, within a credit risk analytics environment.
• Strong understanding of the credit life cycle.
• Experience with revolving store cards or credit cards is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in both structured and unstructured environments.
• Predictive analytics experience with a strong numerical background is advantageous.
• Experience using SAS (Base, Enterprise Guide, or SAS Viya) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, and data analytics tools is beneficial.

Qualification

• A relevant postgraduate degree, preferably with mathematical or statistical subjects.
• Business science or BCom degree, or equivalent qualification.

The reference number for this position is MAT60195. This is a permanent position based in Cape Town, offering a cost to company of up to R1 million per annum, negotiable depending on experience and ability.
