Tatjana von Bormann has spent the past seven years catalysing transformational change in food-agriculture markets. She joined WWF to develop the strategy for GreenChoice, a conservation sector collaboration aimed at reducing production impacts in food and fibre. Now as market transformation manager her focus is on research in the food supply chain and informing market use of standards and other mechanisms, to reduce production impacts for soft (food and fibre) commodities.
Recently the supply chain work has been enhanced through investigating the use of Life Cycle Assessment to investigate not only carbon but also freshwater and land impacts. Research into the food water energy nexus and its implications for food security is also an important focus of the markets work. Before joining WWF Tatjana gained over a decade's experience in media and marketing strategy and consulted to local and international clients in retail, ecotourism and the conservation sector.
