A family-first mom of two, she heads up a studio of the most talented, positive, diverse and collaborative people she could find. At the wheel of SA's largest creative studios, she holds many an accolade including most recently being featured in Big Won's 14th spot overall for best ECDs in the world.
Kicking off her career in 1995, Mariana rode the beautiful creative wave through the SA advertising industry helping build brands like Nike, BMW, Virgin Atlantic, Mercedes Benz, Economist, Cell C, Nedbank and Chicken Licken. The 15-year haul led to her being appointed to ECD of Ogilvy Johannesburg.
In a hot second, she brought home two D&AD pencils, a Gold Lion, two Silvers and three Bronzes and continued to lead her team to make history by winning the first ever Cannes Radio Grand Prix for Ogilvy Worldwide - in true Mariana fashion, she took her hubby and two boys on stage to accept the award - another world first.
As a valued member of the O&M SA family her continued success has not slowed down at all, internationally recognised creative gems produced on the regular - Mariana continues acknowledging that the best talent, great briefs and awesome clients aren't a recipe for success unless grace, favour and blessing is added to the mix, for which she is eternally grateful for.
