Karlien Delport
Researching, designing and facilitating training and innovation are my true passions. Ideally I would like to fulfill a role where I could contribute in both a strategic and facilitation capacity. Although I have little experience in Project Management and Business Analysis, I would like to explore these fields also.

Show profile Hide profileIn past four years I have migrated from pure academic facilitation and teaching into Sales and Marketing in the Financial Industry. I was initially recruited to work in New Sales and Client Expansion, where I had success in recruiting clients from specific industries. I requested to be transferred to the Client Retention Department, as I felt I had more to offer the way of providing frequently updated training and managing client relationships. Client reviews legitimise this decision. In addition I have been tasked with co-authoring company correspondence including website content, quarterly newsletter and e-mails to clients. In addition I was responsible for the majority of the creative work in the marketing department working very closely with in-house and external designers.
During the past year my internal focus was primarily on strategic initiatives regarding a proposed new Reserve Bank payment stream and launching an Innovation Program for the employer. These roles introduced me the project management, while doubling as process custodian. Working in a more strategic role was energising and I found the challenges put to me a positive development process. In this time my copy writing responsibilities expanded to include co-authoring and editing published industry articles.
My external functions primarily remained client relations and expansion, with a specific focus on Call Centre training in the Debt Collection Industry. As training (research, development, design and facilitation) remains my true passion, I found this aspect of my portfolio most enjoyable.
I am currently looking to be employed in a role where I can expand my current skills and add value in a role with both a strategic and possibly training related aspects. I would also appreciate the opportunity to work in environment where I can contribute to research. Preferably designing client experience trials and interpreting the data.
