Deon Oberholzer is the co-founder and CEO of Veri-Com, a SANAS-accredited BEE verification agency. He has been involved with Black Economic Empowerment at various levels since 2004. He is also a director and shareholder in Gestalt Fund Managers, Gestalt Growth Strategies and Phambili Gestalt Empowerment Holdings.

His BEE involvement includes extensive consulting, enterprise and rural development, and investment projects. He has an extensive understanding of the B-BBEE codes, the verification process and led Veri-Com on its own route to compliance.

Prior to getting involved in BEE, Deon gained his business experience in a variety of business fields, such as; strategy, HR, operations and sales. His experience includes five years as founder member and COO in an entrepreneurial company in the telecommunications and technology market.

Deon started his academic journey with a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stellenbosch and also holds an Honours Degree in Quality Engineering, a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering (Tuks) and a MBA from Wits Business School.
