Alibaba Business School takes GET programme to Rwanda
Along with the Rwandan Higher Education Council and the Rwanda Development Board, the Alibaba Business School introduced its Global E-Commerce Talent (GET) programme to the country's higher education teachers. The introduction of the GET programme forms part of a larger effort to bring the Electronic World Trade Platform (eWTP) initiative to Rwanda; it marks the first time GET was offered in Africa.
The programme is aimed at deepening the understanding of the e-commerce industry among Rwandan university teachers, so that they, in turn, can train individuals to compete in the digital economy. Fifty lecturers from nine of the country's top universities attended the weeklong programme.
