Loeries judges' seminar to host international creatives

The Loerie Awards 2010 Judges Seminar takes place at the Hackle Brooke Conference Centre in Randburg, Johannesburg, South Africa on 20 August this year. Creative directors, designers, illustrators, photographers, writers, directors, cinematographers, brand managers and anyone involved in brand communications are invited to attend.

The seminar plans to host four successful international creatives.

Tickets can be purchased from the Loeries website. Seminar attendees will hear insights from the three Loeries jury chairmen, as well as the Middle Eastern jury representative.

Advertising chairman: Pablo Del Campo, CEO of Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, Buenos Aires

Del Campo and his team have received 31 Cannes Lions, 41 Clios, more than 200 Fiaps and Del Campo himself has also received the Konex Award for Excellence in Communications. Argentina has been ranked third globally, for the fourth consecutive year, in the 2009 Gunn Report, and Del Campo Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi is listed as one of the top five creative agencies in the world.

Compared to a market size ranked only thirty-fifth in the world, Argentina performs very well. Del Campo is Argentina's most awarded creative over the last fifteen years, and is one of the advertising leaders of the Ibero-American region.

Communication Design chairman: Greg Quinton, creative partner of The Partners, London

Also chair of Education at the D&AD, Quinton has worked with The Partners for the past 20 years, contributing to the company's success as the most consistently awarded agency in the United Kingdom. The agency was named the most creative company in Britain in Design Week's 2009 survey and has topped the 'All Awards' chart for 11 years in its 20 year history.

Experiential chairman: Colin Nimick, executive creative director of OgilvyOne, London

Nimick, who has been a veteran at Ogilvy since 1987, has scooped numerous awards for his work done with American Express, Cancer Research UK and IBM. His "Smoke is Poison" campaign for Cancer Research received the acclaimed title of DM Campaign of the Decade by Campaign Magazine, and Nimick himself was titled No.2 DM creative director.

Jury representative: Shahir Zag, chief creative officer of Y&R Middle East & North Africa (MENA), Dubai

Under Zag's creative leadership, Y&R MENA has become the most awarded agency in the Middle East. He is also a founding member of the Creative Club, the region's first industry association aiming to raise the overall standard of advertising in Dubai. His TV, print and multimedia campaigns have been awarded at Cannes, Clios, One Show, Dubai Lynx, London International Awards and the New York Festival.

Venue: Hackle Brooke, 110 Conrad Drive (cnr. Conrad Dr & Jan Smuts Ave), Craighall Park
Time: 7.30am - 12pm (a light breakfast will be served and there will be a tea break)
    Date: 20 August 2010
