International AME Awards 2014: Enter now; launches Social Video category

NEW YORK, US: The AME Awards, for the World's Best Advertising & Marketing Effectiveness, is now accepting entries for the 2014 competition.
International AME Awards 2014: Enter now; launches Social Video category

World-wide since 1994, the AME Awards honours campaigns that successfully demonstrate groundbreaking solutions to challenging marketing problems.

Alisun Armstrong, executive director of AME Awards, launched a new category for 2014, Social Video. The category update showcases exceptional work in the micro-video trend currently driving brand engagement, and will recognize content created by social-savvy brands using 6-second Vine and 15-second Instagram videos.

"We aim to keep the AME Awards on the forefront of both creative and technological industry trends," said Armstrong. "We're looking for good work that works. Winners must demonstrate brilliant and well-executed creative ideas that achieve the highest result for the brand, and will earn global recognition from a jury of their peers."

Social Video rounds out categories introduced last year that transformed the AME Awards: Sports Promotion, Branded Entertainment, Ebooks, Games, Pop-up Stores, Tablets, Low-budget, and Collateral and Print, as well as Social Benefit, which promotes peace, human rights, social consciousness, and a commitment to planetary stewardship.

The 2014 AME Grand Jury of interactive and multidisciplinary marketers, media planners, strategy directors, social media experts, and creatives will evaluate entries based on four specific criteria, each weighted by importance: Challenge/Strategy/Objectives - 20%; Creativity - 25%; Execution - 25%; and Results/Effectiveness - 30%. Of paramount importance to judges this year will be the sources and evidence of results.

AME's Grand Jury award Gold, Silver, and Bronze to the highest scoring entries through two rounds of regional judging to account for cultural and economic relevance. Gold-winning work from all regions is judged by the full international Grand Jury to determine a Platinum Award for each of the five regions (North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East & Africa and Asia Pacific) and the International Grand AME Award.

The deadline to enter the 2014 AME Awards is 31 October 2013. Entries received by 15 September will save 10% with the code PRA2014. Entry details and competition rules and regulations can be found on the AME website, www.ameawards.com. You can view the 2013 competition's winners here.
