    The Bees Awards: 2012 winners

    SAN FRANCISCO, US: The Bees Awards, the international social media marketing awards, have announced the 2012 winners.

    South Africa was well represented in the winners:

    • Best Use of Micro-Blogging Platform: Joe Public won for their Twitter Army entry.
    • Best Use of Mobile: Ogilvy Cape Town won for their Carling Black Label - Be the Coach entry.
    • Best Use of Ad Banners on Social Media Platform (NEW!): Quirk (Pty) Ltd won for their Klipdrift and Cola - Ngena Facebook Fan Growth entry.
    • Best Branded Viral Video: Ogilvy Cape Town won for their YouTube Interventions entry.

    Agencies and brands from 40 countries submitted their best social media executions on this 3rd edition. The Bees Awards would like to thank all participants!
