The South African College of Business (SACOB) attended the three-day conference, which took place alongside the African Education Week Annual Convention and Learning Expo at the Sandton Convention Centre in June 2013.
Facilitating quality education
A relative unknown to begin with, by day three SACOB was turning heads with its Online Lecturer-Led Education approach to learning. A new trend amongst youngsters is to begin their studies while still in school and since SACOB's model facilitates this perfectly, students were beating a path to the college's stand.
In her keynote address during the opening session of African Education Week, Dr. Mamphela Ramphele said, "True freedom for all people begins with a quality education." SACOB took her words to heart by giving away one bursary a day over the course of the conference. For three lucky students, their dreams have been transformed into reality.
"We're pleased to say that SACOB enjoyed an excellent response from both attendees and fellow exhibitors," says Stacey Henn, college principal. "We look forward to returning next year."
