Northlink College geared to excel in the new normal

On 19 January 2021, Northlink College kicked off its registration for the impending academic year. With an adjusted learning approach of (50/50), allowing 50% of student occupancy and another 50% attending remotely. This approach is informed by the prevailing Covid-19 risk-adjusted strategy, introduced by President Cyril Ramaphosa to manage the gradual easing of the lockdown.
Academic institutions globally, are currently faced with the challenge of putting measures in place, to minimise on-campus risk of viral transmission, which could potentially be as a result of contact learning. Due to the overwhelming number of Covid-19 deaths since March of 2020, the general health risk posed by this pandemic have dictated that extraordinary measures be taken, to ensure that we prioritise the health and safety of the students and staff at Northlink college campuses.

Such preventative measures were adopted by our College in accordance with the government’s regulations to address, prevent and combat the spread of the Coronavirus. Northlink College is ready, and able to commence 2021 teaching and learning, under the new normal, following all the Covid-19 protocols, with sanitisation and screening conducted on all seven campuses.
Formal registration concluded on 29 January. Even under the current conditions, we are unwavering in our commitment, "To provide relevant, accredited Education and Training, which will address the Skills and Developmental needs of all our stakeholders,” said Ranaldo van Rooy, Business Development and Marketing Manager.
