District 9, the sci-fi flick that's been making quite the splash in the US was unleashed last Friday, 28 August 2009 for the South African market to see what all the fuss is about. It's a brilliant movie from start to end and definitely worth all the hype. Don't go to see it just because it's a South African movie and you're fulfilling your patriotic duty; go to see it because it's an amazingly written and directed piece of work.
