Bob Loves Dylan take away shows

The Bob Loves Dylan Take Away Show Series serves to showcase and preserve live performances in one honest and striking cinematic take. Featuring the best local, and visiting international artists, in South Africa. Season 1 of the series will run for a year and see them release a new video every two weeks.

"Each shoot takes about 2 hours," director and producer Rio Allen, explains. "The first hour is used to conceptualise, block and rehearse camera movement with the artist and the location. The second hour we shoot, usually in the region of eight takes, and it's usually somewhere around take 6-8 that the magic happens."

On shooting Stelth Ulvang from The Lumineers, Rio explained: "Stelth was our second shoot for the day, the first international of the series and we always knew that we were going for something classic and uncomplicated for his Take Away Show. Stelth was a really nice dude and super easy to work with, he kinda just let us do our thing and was really accommodating to our process!"
