Free Stepdog EP download includes top-five hit
A free EP download, which includes their top-five hit, Angie, is being offered by Stellenbosch-based rock band Stepdog. The EP was produced and recorded by Jürgen von Wechmar at Sunset Recording Studios and mastered by Tim Lengefeld at TL Mastering.
Stepdog's first single, Angie, was given away with the October 2010 issue of Your LMG and rapidly climbed the charts reaching number two on 5fm's SA Rock Chart. Their second single, Lauren, will be released this month to coincide with the launch of the EP.
Digital's the way to go
"The digital route is where music is going and we decided to give away the album in gratitude to the fantastic response from our fans, who downloaded Angie back in October," said Jonathan Velthuysen, the frontman of Stepdog.
Stepdog produce a funky blend of Creedence Clearwater Revival-meets-Bob Dylan, with raspy vocals and toe-tapping rhythms.
The three-piece band's six-track EP, Amy After Dark, will be available from www.stepdog.co.za.
