Sunshine Saturdays' top stars in February

Sunshine concerts has announced the line-up of acts appearing for the next round of open-air concerts at Wynberg Boys High School, following Zebra & Giraffe, Dirty Skirts and Prime Circle's gigs in December. Watershed, Kurt Darren, and Johnny Clegg will be the attractions.

The February line-up sees three of South Africa's most established and successful artists performing:

  • 6 February: Watershed, one of SA's most popular bands. Their latest album, “Staring at the Ceiling”, released in August 2009 has already reached gold status.
  • 13 February: Kurt Darren, undoubtedly the most popular Afrikaans pop-music star in SA and one of our top-selling artists.
  • 20 February: Johnny Clegg. For over 30 years he has been delighting audiences of all ages in SA and internationally.

Gates open at 2.30pm, arrive early to reserve your spot. The first act will start at 3.30pm with the main act following at 5pm. The concerts end at 6.30pm and the beer tent will be open until 7.30pm.

Tickets are R100 pre-booked through Computicket or R120 at the gate. Children under 12 pay R50 and those under three get in free. Food and drinks will be on sale at the venue. Wine and beer will be sold in the beer tent but cannot be brought in.
