Saturday's Party for the Planet was a party with a difference, with part of the takings at the door going to WWF's conservation work. The event also forms part of the Vote Earth campaign, an international WWF campaign calling on ordinary citizens to help send a message to world leaders meeting at the UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen that we are counting on them to deliver a fair, effective and binding new climate deal.
“The Party for the Planet was a huge success,” said WWF Brand Manager, Sarah-Leigh Paul.
“It was great to see people having a good time and also making a difference by donating to conservation as their Vote for Earth. We are very thankful to Manhattan Club, DJ Euphonik and everyone who came for making the event such a success”
The results of the global Vote Earth campaign will be presented to world leaders on the evening of the 16th of December, in Copenhagen. People who haven't yet voted can sign up by visiting www.wwf.org.za.
