Hartman toured southern Africa with the Samson Show Band and later formed Men of Trees in 2004 along with his brother (Scott Hartman) and his father (Sam Hartman).
Jason's 2009 single Break the Silence was met with favourable reviews. The single entered the Nokia Top 40 SA, reaching number 1 by 13 June.
Jason's first studio album 'On the Run' has been released by Sony Music with hits like Mr Mend and On the Run climbing up many South African music charts.
