Classic concerts in Cape Town

Cape Town prepares itself for a weekend of classical music with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra playing on Sunday, 29 March at the Kirstenbosch Gardens as part of the Old Mutual Summer Sunset series and solo violinist, Caitlin will also be performing at the Cape Quarter on Sunday.

Dr. Corwin Matei who is professor of the Conservatory of University of Stellenbosch is conducting the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday, 29 March. The concert which is part of the Old Mutual Summer Sunset series will be longer than usual and is on from 5.30pm until 7.00pm The programme includes Holst's "Planets", Mussorgsky's "Night" and Beethoven's "No 5".
