Greenpop launches Trees for Zambia 2014 fun-raiser

Greenpop is bringing a two-night concert series, Cool as Folk, to Joburg on Friday, 28 February and Pretoria on Saturday, 1 March, 2014. Trees for Zambia is a tree-planting and environmental education project which is run in Zambia by Greenpop.

The night will include a selection of bands and performance artists, DJs, a photo booth, a Twitter fountain, delicious drinks, happy vibes, and a chance to party until the wee hours of the morning.

Cool as Folk Jozi will be held at Town Hall and The Woods (66, Carr St, Newtown), whilst Cool as Folk Pretoria will be held at the Arcade Empire (256, The Highway, Equestria). Both concerts will run from approximately 6pm to 3am.

Line-up:

  • Joburg bands: Jeremy Loops, Bye Beneco, December Streets, TouchWood, Flint Meet Spark.
  • Joburg DJs: Michael Lesar, Half 'n Half, Sassquatch, Panic Sister.
  • Pretoria bands: Jeremy Loops, December Streets, Vana and the Oh So Serious, TouchWood, Flint Meet Spark, Hoot n Anny.
  • Pretoria DJs: Michael Lesar, MoeJoe, Minx, Breakfast

Tickets are R70 pre-sold, R90 at the door, or R200 for a Green Ticket (which includes a tree that Greenpop will plant on your behalf). Additionally, all are welcome to purchase a raffle ticket for R100, for which the prize is a free week on their Zambia project. Tickets can be purchased in advance on Webtickets.
