Greenpop road trip to the Vic Falls Carnival

Greenpop is organising an overland trip to the Victoria Falls Carnival, which is held over New Year's Eve, 2013. The overland truck has space for 22 people and will leave Cape Town on 26 December and arrive in Joburg on 27 December, to pick up more passengers. The journey will continue from Joburg to Francistown, Botswana where it will overnight before heading to Victoria Falls on 29 December.

Upon arrival at Victoria Falls, the overlanders will attend the first of the Jameson Victoria Falls Carnival parties, the Zambezi Lager Express Party in Carriage 262, a historical baggage van that used to transport people across sub-Saharan Africa. The train takes its passengers to a secret location where the party continues to the sounds of DJs from across southern Africa.

A variety of amusements

The next three days will be spent at the Victoria Falls Carnival, where live acts include Jeremy Loops, Just Jinger, Flash Republic, Shortstraw and ISO along with Zambian musician Mampi MuKape (R&B singer) and one of Zimbabwe's biggest bands, Mokoomba. Along with the music the festival has a variety of amusements for festival-goers, such as fire dancers, contortionists and stilt walkers.

On 2 January it will depart from Vic Falls and start the return journey to Joburg via Botswana, arriving back in Joburg on 3 January, 2014, before making the final trek back to Cape Town.

Every seat booked includes a tree which will be planted in an under greened area in the Western Cape. All of the details are on the booking form at https://docs.google.com/a/greenpop.org/forms/d/1Ge7b-Ca3FFeqBJdUGXPS9ss3aFbt-U2DAxrZuPH7f64/viewform.
