The winners of the YOU Spectacular 2016 awards were revealed on Saturday 16 July at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg. With the most wins, Bonang Matheba received four awards in total, including those for Most Stylish Female Celeb and Favourite Couple, shared with her rapper boyfriend, AKA.
Comedian Anne Hirsch, host of the show, displayed some interpretive dance as well as her eccentric brand of humour.
Expresso presenter Katlego Maboe walked away with the award for Favourite TV Presenter, but lost out to AKA in the Most Stylish Male Celeb category.
The award for Sexiest Man went to actor and TV presenter Maps Maponyane, while actress and TV presenter Minnie Dlamini triumphed in the Sexiest Woman category.

The night’s musical performances were a tribute to legendary artists who died over the past year and included Lloyd Cele doing a phenomenal cover of Stand By Me by Ben E King, Thembeka Mnguni wowing the audience with her performance of You’re My World by Cilla Black and Graeme Watkins doing a brilliant version of David Bowie’s Let’s Dance.
