Cathay Pacific goes daily with Jhb-Hong Kong route

"This is an enhanced product design made after consolidating the feedback from our customers," said Frosti Lau, country manager for Cathay Pacific in South Africa. "Some of our frequent travellers from South Africa have sampled the new product earlier on this year when we occasionally operated the 777ER aircraft on the route due to rotation, and they have been asking about when we are going to have it permanently. We are delighted to announce that it is now on a permanent basis for the South African market as planned to complement the Cathay Pacific service that we are renowned for."

Cocooned in their own private area, the design of the New Business Class product allows customers to control the degree of privacy and interaction they prefer. Customers can move the seat forward to converse with a travel companion or move the seat back for more privacy if they prefer to enjoy their own space.

The new generation full flatbed takes customers' sleeping experience to the next level. The bed is just over two meters long after converting the seat for flat-out comfort. The bed extension increases its width by 16.5cm to provide additional hip support, while the side storage compartment offers extra knee space for sleeping on the side. Customers can also choose to lift up the armrest for more privacy, or leave it down for more space for their shoulders.

The new Business Class has a place for everything: the side cabinet consists of not only the headset, but a vanity mirror and room for small items such as glasses and gadgets. The cabinet door also acts as a privacy divider when it opens.

Customers can enjoy a world of entertainment at their fingertips, where a touch of a button opens the touch-screen personal TV with Audio and Video on Demand. The award winning StudioCX features of 100 movies, 500TV shows, 888 music CDs, 22 radio channels, 70 games, and with 10 languages represented of which customers are sure to find something that they will enjoy.

"If you have some music or movies on your smartphone or tablet, you can also plug into our system and make use of the noise cancelling headphones to enjoy your own choice of entertainment too." said Lau.
