Zimbabwe Council for Tourism announces Entrepreneur of the Year

Commenting on his recent award, the managing director of DMC Love for Africa said "I am both humbled and surprised that this recognition". Those who know Blessing Munyenyiwa will find this response totally in character. However, as a passionate hands-on player in Zimbabwe's tourism industry, it is likely we will be hearing a lot more about this man.
Munyenyiwa hails from Bulawayo and joined Wilderness Safaris Zimbabwe in December 1997 as a tours consultant based in Victoria Falls. His later experience includes guiding in the Matusadona National Park, Kariba, where he was actively involved in the local anti-poaching and Rhino program.
In 2002, he joined Walt Disney World based in Orlando, Florida, where he spent time working at the Animal Kingdom followed by two and a half years on the Disney Cruise Line Ship 'Disney Wonder' returning "home" to Zimbabwe in 2005 when he rejoined Wilderness.
From general manager of the Tours and Transfers department, he went on to become a director of Wilderness Safaris Zimbabwe in 2008 and later co-MD for Zimbabwe & Zambia.
After a stint at Meikles Hospitality Group as sales and marketing director, Munyenyiwa now heads up his own Destination Management Company "Love for Africa".
