Massmart 14-week total sales up 14.7%
Comparable sales increased by 8.0% for the same period.
"With the first quarter's sales indicating a return to stability with growth in all categories and divisions, the financial year ahead looks to be solid," the company said in a statement.
Massmart's AGM will be held on 23 November.
