Freshstop opens in Khayelitsha
In an extension of its bid to secure a national footprint, Freshstop, opened its first store late last week in a township; Xuolo store in Khayelitsha. Described as South Africa's fastest growing 24-hour convenience offering, this was the 44th store to open in South Africa.
"We identified a need to offer the Khayelitsha community a 24-hour convenience offering which places emphasis on being fresh. It is for this reason that a significant percentage of the store space is dedicated to fresh produce", says Brian Coppin, co-founder and CEO of Fruit & Veg City and Freshstop.
"This is the first store we have opened in a traditional township area and we were pleased that the shop opened with members of the community lining up to enjoy the benefits of our opening specials and fresh product offering."
