Top Music goes virtual

Top Music, a CD, DVD and games store, has closed its retail presence, after 15 years of trading, to start trading on the Marketplace, kalahari.net's new trading platform, and according to its co-owners, Ana and Leon Harmse, business is booming.

"Running a store online has unbelievable benefits. You have no idea what it has done to our little business. We are now a 24-hour online store, which no longer subscribes to operating hours, customers can shop whenever they want, and more importantly, they can buy my products from anywhere. I now wake up in the morning and find that sales were concluded throughout the night. We should have done this a long time ago," says Leon Harmse, owner of Top Music.

"We have loaded about 3500 items on kalahari.net and already there is enormous interest from customers. We have plans to increase our number of items listed to over 7000 and this number will continue to grow."
