Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data warehousing and data lake solutions to support business needs
• Implement ETL processes using tools such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Matillion, SSIS
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security by implementing data governance and quality best practices
• Optimise and maintain existing ETL pipelines for performance and scalability
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, particularly in cloud data engineering.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology
• Strong experience with data warehousing and data lake architecture and technologies
• Experience in Data Vault and dimensional modelling techniques for data warehousing
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, AWS EMR, and Databricks is a plus
• Experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka
• AWS Databricks

• PySpark
• Apache Spark
• Python
