Show profile Hide profileARRO was established in 2017 to help the Animal Welfare world in South Africa.
Our aim for each Animal Shelter that we choose to help is the following:
1. To Significantly increase adoption rates and the adopting experience for families who wish to visit the shelter.
2. To improve the lives of the people and animals that work at the facility.
3. To build a Veterinary Clinic on each location.
4. To provide a means of a long-term self-sustainable income stream.
The Team:
Team ARRO is consists of accomplished individuals and selected for their expertise to make this project a success. Please visit our website to view our team.
The Research:
Our research started in 2016 by visiting many animal shelters to construct a plan based on the needs of a typical animal shelter. Most shelters are started small, but then they grow organically with little planning with the view of a long term productive environment. Families prefer to purchase a pet online or from a breeder, rather than having to be exposed to seeing shelter animals in distress. These shelter structures often require constant maintenance, making it unproductive, resulting in less time spent with the animals. Vet Bills are high when an outbreak occurs which can bring a shelter to their knees. If a Animal Shelter collapses, it becomes the problem of other shelters around them, or worse, all the animals have to be euthanised.
The Plan:
Team ARRO, together with our partners have developed a system to change this world:
1. Our award winning Architect has a designed shelter system to be constructed with recycled materials for sustainable long term use.
2. Construction Costs will be kept to a minimum, with ARRO Shelter Program, the expensive part of construction will be what is under the ground and not what the eye can see. For this we have engaged a Civil Engineering organisation to guide us.
3. Media houses are interested to join us when production starts to film the Make-Over process. The broadcasting will be for the benefit of the sponsors and the organisation that we serve, by giving them the exposure.
4. Shelter Selection: Each animal shelter will go through a rigorous selection process to ensure that funding is allocated to a successful outcome (in other words, we will not be throwing good money after bad).
5. Our Chartered Accountants will be keeping an eye on the funding to ensure each investor and donor is kept up to date with the allocation of their funds towards their wishes.
What do we need?
We require sponsors for one or multiple projects.
