I've worked as a journalist, copywriter, stylist, project manager, events manager and commercial manager to name some of my titles. I currently focus on conceptualizing projects for brands that I identify well with. When not busy with my own projects I work as decor stylist for events and fashion stylist for commercials and editorials.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Journalism degree, Rhodes University, 1986 - 1989, I joined Unum Advertising Agency as copywriter. 3 years later I worked as a journalist for Our Times, local J'Bay newspaper and then joined the magazine world in 1996 up until 2011. Titles I worked on include Essentials, Chi, Sarie & VISI (10 years on latter title). 2012 I took some time out, but almost immediately started working with a PR agency on two charity projects in aid of CAPE TOWN CITY BALLET and the LIGHT FROM AFRICA FOUNDATION. I conceptualized fashion shows for CTCB & Light from Africa. I also conceptualized, styled and produced a magazine editorial for ROCK GIRL with designers' safe space benches teamed up with fashion designers for a feature article in Marie Claire. For CTCB I produced a feature article, based on SEX IN THE CITY, for 021 magazine. My styling work stretches over many years and include commercials for fashion, music and lifestyle brands (print, film & TV), fashion and bridal editorials, fashion films and a music video to name some.
