Gavin Stansfield is director, employment practice of Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr. His areas of specialisation include all types of labour law including strikes and lock-outs, unfair dismissals, collective bargaining, unlawful competition and restraint of trade and occupational health and safety. His LLM thesis completed in 2004 is entitled "Restructuring in the Workplace: the Individual and Collective scenarios". He also obtained a Higher Diploma in Company Law in 2009.
Gavin also specialises in public service and administrative law, municipal structures and public sector financial management legislation including the Public Finance Management Act and the Municipal Finance Management Act. He has also extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management legislation.
