According to the recently published 2019 W Hospitality Pipeline Report, Radisson Blu has for a second year in a row, secured the leading position as the hotel brand with the most hotels under development and the most hotel deals in its pipeline in Africa. The group's upper midscale brand, Park Inn by Radisson has also entered the same top 10 brand list, securing the fifth position.

The Radisson Hotel Group has signed an agreement with Groupe Talys, for three hotels to enter Madagascar, namely the Radisson Blu Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront, Radisson Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront and Radisson Serviced Apartments Antananarivo City Centre, which in total, comprises 254 rooms. The agreement consists of two hotel conversions and one hotel under construction, with all three hotels scheduled to open in 2020. Elie Younes, executive vice president and chief development officer, Radisson Hotel Group, said: "We continue to lead the African pipeline in the upper upscale segment. This three-deal signing further cements our position and reflects our commitment to the continent."
