SANParks Week opens in September
The South African National Parks (SANParks) Week officially opens on 17 September 2017. The launch event is will be officiated by Environmental Affairs Minister Edna Molewa at the Golden Gate Highlands National Park in the Free State.
Every year, SANParks allows all South African citizens free day-visit entry at its parks, across the country, for a whole week. The initiative was first started 11 years ago and has seen an increase of 220,000 day visitors at all participating national parks.
