Fair Trade rates Asilia as best in Africa

Fair Trade Tourism has rated Asilia as the most committed to responsible tourism standards in Africa. The rating was made in Fair Trade Tourism's review of certified safari lodges and camps, across eight countries in Africa.

The survey found that Asilia has 48% of its properties certified at best-practice responsible tourism level. The 10 properties - Sayari, Oliver's, Little Oliver's, Namiri, Olakira, Dunia, Namiri, Ubuntu in Tanzania, and Naboisho and Rekero in Kenya - were independently audited against best-practice criteria set by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
