Flex your story writing skills with this competition
The FunDza Literacy Trust is calling on youth aged between 13 and 25 years old to enter its Inspirational Icons, Everyday Heroes writing competition. The literacy programme created the competition to celebrate the lives of Albertina Sisulu and Nelson Mandela.
The competition encourages young people to look within their own communities and recount small heroic acts that have had positive outcomes in an engaging manner. The short stories should be based on a true event in which an act of generosity and/or courage has transformed the lives of others.
