Deseret Digital 'BootCamp' could revolutionise local media

The event takes a deep dive into the highly successful content and business models developed by Deseret Digital, a leading media and online services company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Its array of online news sites, consumer services, social media channels and other digital projects has a global reach of more than 22 million monthly unique visitors, and nearly 100 million followers through social media channels.

The BootCamp will cover a wide range of topics including native advertising, e-commerce, culture, separation of print and digital for both news and sales, events, social media, programmatic, video and more. The sessions are refreshingly open and transparent; DDM executives will point out success stories but also strategies that did not work out.

Many DDM executives will be on hand to take part in this event, including President Chris Lee. "Deseret Digital is one of the most successful case studies in our industry," said Nancy Lane, President, Local Media Association. "It is transforming its media company and the BootCamp has been a game changer for the dozens of media companies that have already participated. We are thrilled to partner with WAN-IFRA to bring this event to Hamburg in conjunction with the World Publishing Expo. This is a priceless opportunity to share DDM's success stories with a global audience."

Larry Kilman, Secretary General of WAN-IFRA, said, "We are excited about this new partnership opportunity with DDM and the Local Media Association. It highlights the increasing international range of our exhibition and the value it holds in the news media industry."
