FMD ban lifted in selected South African provinces

The areas that are still subject to the export ban include the Limpopo province, Ehlanzeni in the Mpumalanga province and Umkhanyakude in the KwaZulu-Natal province.
The regulation in announcement number 34, 2019 of the general administration of customs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China on forbidding the importation of cloven-hoofed animals and their products from other areas in South Africa to China, is concurrently being repealed.
Refer to the map below to view the areas that are cleared for exports.

Therefore, where there is already an agreed-upon veterinary health certificate with the Veterinary Authority of China, exports may resume, except from the excluded areas.
