Fighting for the freedom of chickens
On Freedom Day, celebrities like Masterchef winner Kamini Pather and actor Benedikt Sebastian put their weight behind the cause to help make a difference and truly ensure freedom for all. Despite an online signing petition and additional pressure from animal protection groups, McDonald's still won't commit to stopping the suffering of hens and cage-free eggs.

#LetThemBeFree celebrities are shouting on Freedom Day in support of a campaign to get McDonald's SA to commit to only using cage-free eggs. Masterchef winner Kamini Pather, actor Benedikt Sebastian together with Yolanda Guse who started an online petition (supported by more than 16,700 South Africans and four animal protection groups) are encouraging all to show their support by signing the petition.
You can view the petition here.
