Oliver Nurock joins forces with Maximum Films

Maximum Films Africa, started a decade ago by Pendra Dissell, has announced that it has joined forces with Reel Africa industry veteran, Oliver Nurock.

Nurock, a doyen in the film industry, has been producing for many years, and as a long-time executive of the esteemed Commercial Producers Association, knows every twist and turn in the volatile industry he calls home.

Maximum is internationally recognised as being one of the foremost production service companies in South Africa, consistently staying ahead of the pack by paying attention to global markets and international trends. In keeping with the smart, savvy, effervescent focus that is its trademark, Maximum is taking cognisance of the tightness of the international commercial environment and the pressures placed upon the South African film industry by the strong Rand, interest in other international service centres and of course the prolific local competition.

The partnership excites Nurock, always with his finger on the pulse. "I am delighted with this opportunity of collaborating with Pendra whom I believe I have an excellent business synergy with. We are both very aware of the state of the world economy and the level of the Rand etc, and despite ongoing interest in other service destinations, we believe that South Africa will continue to be a primary choice for the international market. At Maximum, we can provide the most competitive price, but with a tight, professional hands-on team that reflects the region's creative production values."

This new alliance between Pendra Dissell and Oliver Nurock, two prominent and experienced producers, re-enforces Maximum's high-level service during difficult times. "This season has exposed the pressure that the worldwide advertising, production and service industry is under and shown us that all players need to take a different approach to remain prominent, or survive at all", warns Dissell.
