Nampak joins environmental project

The aim of National Clean-up and Recycle Week is to bring together organisations that are already actively involved in environmental campaigns, as well as community groups and schools to clean up beaches, waterways, parks, streets, local communities and schools.
During this week all South Africans are urged to do something towards cleaning their local community.

The Holy Spirit Environmental Project is a church group based in Kwazakhele, Port Elizabeth. They are committed to improving their surroundings, in order to restore the environment to the way it was created, and trees are a big part of this.

The Holy Spirit Environmental Project, with help from Nampak and FTFA, is attempting to restore this age old resource and make sure that future generations not only have lush green landscapes, but can also gain from the many gifts trees give. "Spring in September is a perfect time to reflect on the miracle that every tree represents as a symbol of life," said Jeunesse Park, FTFA founder.
