The theme of the indaba is "Enabling South Africa to become the Heartbeat of Diamond Beneficiation in Africa". It will attract roleplayers within the diamond industry, including producers, beneficiators, industry associations, government, jewellery manufacturers, as well as international diamond stakeholders.

Supporting beneficiation

The objective of the indaba is to support beneficiation, as the Department of Mineral Resources seeks to leverage the country's comparative advantage in mineral resource endowment to create a competitive advantage for domestic mineral beneficiating entities, thus playing a contributory role towards setting the country's growth trajectory on a production-led growth path.

Government's focus has always been on developing historically disadvantaged individuals in order to transform the landscape of diamond manufacturing to include a more diverse population.

Minister Zwane will deliver the keynote address at the indaba.

Registration is essential and the cost of attending the indaba is R2,500.00 (incl. vat) for South African delegates and $350 for international delegates.
Email az.oc.snoitacinummocahtil@stcejorp or go to www.diamondindaba.co.za for more info. Attendance is limited to 200 delegates only.
