Virgin Money launches credit card to raise breast cancer awareness
With Breast Cancer Awareness Month October, Virgin Money's new pink credit card is a must have and above all, it's free. The Virgin Money credit card is the first and only credit card in South Africa where you don't pay a monthly or annual fee just for the privilege of having the card in your wallet.
On top of that all new applicants and cardholders up for renewal, will receive a pink ribbon in October handcrafted by participants of the Woza Moya project. This project is an income-generation project of the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust, where they empower and uplift people by teaching them crafting skills so they can become economically self-sufficient through the production of their own crafts within their environment.
The Virgin Money credit card, now renamed "mine", was given a makeover in May 2012 and customers can choose from a black, red, or pink card, or they can get one of each to allow other members of the family to have their own. As well as the redesign, the cards are now secured with a chip and PIN for extra security.
