The last-mile fibre network will pass several businesses, residential developments, and shopping malls in the area.

Says Kevin South, head of Seacom business - channel: “We’re in the advanced stages of our plans to enable commercial users and consumers in Johannesburg’s south to connect directly to Seacom and experience the power of fast, affordable smart fibre to the home and business.”
Some of the benefits of Seacom’s fibre network for property managers, consumers and businesses include:
- A low contention ratio on the standard service as well as dedicated offerings with no contention
- Symmetrical upload and download speeds i.e. users can download and upload data at the same speed
- No fair usage policy or out of bundle charges
