Adopt a penguin this festive season

This year SANCCOB is again playing Father Christmas to a group of African penguin chicks abandoned by their moulting parents in the colonies where they breed. For just R500, you too can adopt one of these penguin chicks and cover the cost of hand-rearing the penguin before he or she is released back into the wild to join the penguin family. The African penguin is listed as endangered on the IUCN Red Data List, so saving the life of every single wild African penguin is crucial to the survival of this precious species.
Instead of the staid bottle of wine and a nut hamper, why not delight a client with saving a penguin on their behalf this year, providing them a unique opportunity to play a role in saving a species? SANCCOB will send the client the adoption papers and a photograph of the penguin that was adopted, so they can share their contribution to saving the wild African penguin with their staff and clients. Adopting a penguin is a noble cause and a wonderful Christmas gift that will last well beyond the year-end festivities.
