Imbalie Beauty Academy launches programme for disabled students, apply now

Imbalie Beauty Training Academy has places for disabled students to apply for a 12-month beauty course. Successful candidates will receive a stipend of R1,500 per month. Applications close on Wednesday 12 July 2017 and candidates must be able to attend an interview on Friday 14 July at Woodmead in Johannesburg.

Candidates must have a disability that can be confirmed by medical certificates, be in possession of a valid ID document and be over the age of 16. They must have a Grade 8 certificate, a good understanding of basic numeracy and be able to speak, write and understand English.

Candidates will spend 12 months mastering the following aspects of beauty:

  • skin care
  • back and neck massage
  • make up
  • manicures
  • pedicures
  • acrylic nail enhancements
  • gel nail enhancements
  • waxing
  • professional conduct
  • people skills
  • retail sales techniques
