Appointment of Dr Dan Kgwadi as vice-chancellor and principal of VUT
The Vaal University of Technology council is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Dan Kgwadi as vice-chancellor and principal of VUT. Dr Kgwadi will take office on Tuesday, 1 February 2022.
Management and the VUT community are excited to restore the institutional pride and academic excellence under the stewardship of Kgwadi, who is well-known for his visionary leadership and good transformation track record.
On behalf of Council and the VUT community, I welcome Kgwadi and wish him well in his role as the vice-chancellor and principal of the institution.
Established in 2004, as the Vaal University of Technology (VUT), VUT originated as a College of Advanced Technical Education (1966-1979) and was later known as Vaal Triangle Technikon (1979-2003).
