Car Design Award 2016 winners announced
The Car Design Award 2016 winners have been announced. This year marks the rebirth of the Car Design Awards, for many years a coveted accolade in automotive design. The award ceremony took place in Turin on 8 June as part of the Parco Valentino Turin Motor Show.

Volvo Cars: Brand Design Language Award winners
Organised by Auto&Design magazine, the Car Design Award is assigned by an international jury consisting of editors and representatives from ten automotive magazines from around the world: Silvia Baruffaldi (Auto&Design), Bernd Wieland (AutoBild/AutoBild Klassik), Todd Lassa (Automobile Magazine), Christophe Bonnaud (Automobiles Classiques), Luca Ciferri (Automotive News Europe), Juan Carlos Payo Calderon (Autopista), Dhruv Behl (AutoX), Tetsuya Kato (Car Graphic), Doo-Hyun Cho (Motor Trend Korea), Zeca Chaves (Quatro Rodas) and Charlie Turner (Top Gear).
The awards are divided into three categories, namely 'Concept Car', 'Production Car', and a new third 'Brand Design Language' category which "recognises the design team that has worked best to maintain the consistency and transversality of a brand’s formal language over the entire product range", according to the awards website.

Third place: Porsche Mission E Concept
Production Car Award 2016
First place: Aston Marti DB11
Second place: Volvo S90/V90
Third place: Bugatti Chiron
