MTV Base names new VJ

MTV Base's newest VJ, Sandile Ntshingila

Every Thursday night, Ntshingila (@sandileGQ_23) will reveal a weekly Top 10 countdown highlighting the biggest artists and music videos shaking up the South African contemporary scene.

Based on music videos and artists that are making it big across the country, The MTV Base Official SA Top 10 will be compiled by an influential panel of South African broadcasters, music specialists and trendsetters, ensuring that the countdown represents the definitive list of music videos that are getting the most airplay, killing it in the ratings, and generating the most buzz on the streets of SA.

Guest appearances

Featuring guest appearances from SA's top radio DJs, bloggers, TV personalities, journalists, celebs and comedians, The MTV Base Official SA Top 10 will include the One2Watch- MTV Base's pick of the music videos that stands out from the crowd, or is on the cusp of blowing up.

Each week, in celebration of the best contemporary hits of the past, viewers can request their favourite #ZAThrowback music video via @MTVBaseAfrica on Twitter and stand the chance of winning a prize hamper.

The MTV Base Official SA Top 10 airs weekly on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) at 6pm from Thursday, 31 October.
