Get acoustic at this year's White Mountain Festival

The annual White Mountain Festival, coming up on 29 September to 2 October 2016, is the perfect opportunity to escape the city for a stunning setting to enjoy a great line-up of some the country's best acoustic acts.

Known for its intimate and relaxed atmosphere, the festival is held at White Mountain Lodge near Giant's Castle in the scenic central Drakensberg region of KwaZulu-Natal, just 25km off the N3 on tarred roads, 185km from Durban and 400km from Johannesburg.

Included on the bill – which features everything from bluegrass to folk, rock, blues, and traditional Celtic and African rhythms – are the likes of Bad Peter, Jack Mantis Band, Georgetown, Lunatic Wolf, Simpl3 Stori3s, Chico Muya, Jenny & The Jameses, Heather Waters, Matt Gardiner, Hoot 'n Anny, Jerry and the Bandits, Wild Lettuce, plus a stripped-down acoustic set from The Black Cat Bones.

Also not to be missed is Cape Town’s Richard Stirton, winner of M-Net’s The Voice SA 2016, as well as his fellow contestants, singer-songwriters Mbijana Sibisi and Jeremy Olivier.

Aside from the music, festival-goers can look forward to a wide variety of food and drink outlets, great local craft beer, vibrant arts and crafts, plus loads of fun outdoor activities for the whole family, including a trail run presented by TRAIL Magazine. Visitors also enjoy full access to the lodge’s spacious grounds, dam, swimming pool and charming old pub with satellite TV and late-night live music.
